The grapes are farmed organically on gravely loam/schist
faces to the E/SE with fossil-rich calcareous soils at 420 to 450m of elevation
The fruit was hand harvested and brought back to the cellar for spontaneous fermentation in picking bins with half of the fruit intact as whole-clusters and half lightly crushed
with Darek Trowbridge and other friends
sour cherry and blackberry aromas predominate in the nose and travel seamlessly onto the palate

The vines are planted on sandy soil with abundant pebbles over marl and limestone. The grapes were destemmed and pressed with a pneumatic press into about 80% stainless steel tanks and 20% used French oak barrels, where the juice settled and fermented at about 20 degrees Celsius. The wine completed fermentation and malolactic conversion and rested for 12 months on
